What BeautyTreatments is, and what it is not
BeautyTreatments is a guide to cosmetic treatments and a directory of med spas, skin clinics and beauty studios across the United States. It connects visitors with businesses. We are not a medical provider. We do not perform, supervise or recommend treatments, and we do not employ the people who do. Each clinic is solely responsible for its services, staff, prices, licensing and compliance with the rules of its state. Our guides are general information, as explained in the medical disclaimer.
Use by visitors is free
Reading guides, searching the directory and requesting appointments costs nothing for visitors. An appointment request is a request for availability, not a confirmed booking. The clinic decides whether and when to see you, and any agreement about a treatment and its price is between you and the clinic. You must be at least 18 to send a request.
Clinic accounts and claiming a profile
A business may claim its profile after proving ownership with a code sent to an email address on its own website domain, or a code placed on its website. You confirm that you are authorized to act for the business and that the details you enter are accurate and lawful. You are responsible for everything done through your account, including by team members you invite, and for keeping access to your email secure.
Subscriptions and billing
Clinic plans are subscriptions, billed monthly or yearly as you choose on pricing for clinics and med spas. There are no one-time listings and no credits.
- A subscription renews automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period until you cancel it.
- You may cancel at any time from your account or by writing to [email protected].
- After cancelling, you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for, and no further charges are made.
- Payments are final, as set out in the refund policy.
- Plan limits, such as locations and monthly appointment requests, apply as described on the pricing page.
- Prices may change for future periods. We tell you by email before a change applies to your subscription.
- Upgrading to a higher plan or a longer period charges the difference at the time of the change.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service. In particular, you will not:
- send false, misleading or unlawful content, or claim a profile that is not yours;
- make medical claims you cannot support, promise guaranteed results or advertise treatments your staff may not lawfully perform;
- publish photos you do not have the right to use, or photos that identify patients without their consent;
- collect data from the site in bulk, scrape it or interfere with its security or operation;
- use visitor requests for any purpose other than replying to that visitor;
- send spam or harass visitors, clinics or us.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and remove content that breaks them.
Open data and licensing
Directory profiles are built from open data, mainly OpenStreetMap under the Open Database License 1.0, and the public NPI Registry, as described on where our directory data comes from. © OpenStreetMap contributors. Data derived from OpenStreetMap is available under the same license. Unclaimed profiles show only what the source contains and may be incomplete or out of date. The site's design, text and guides are protected by copyright and may not be copied without permission. Content a clinic adds remains the clinic's, and the clinic grants us a license to display it on the site for as long as it is published.
Sponsored placement
Some clinic plans include placement in a slot on city and treatment pages. Every such placement is clearly labeled "Sponsored". Sponsored placement is paid advertising and is not a recommendation or an endorsement of quality.
Disclaimers and limits of liability
The site is provided as is. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not guarantee that every profile is current, that a clinic will reply or that the service will be uninterrupted. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any treatment, its outcome or any dealings between you and a clinic, or for indirect, incidental or consequential losses. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to a clinic is limited to the amount it paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited by law.
Indemnity
Clinics agree to cover claims, losses and costs arising from their services, their content or their breach of these terms.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state law that applies to the service, without regard to conflict of law rules. Before starting any formal dispute, please write to [email protected] so we can try to resolve it directly. Consumers keep any rights the law of their place of residence gives them.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the service or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. Significant changes are sent by email to clinic account holders before they take effect. Read how we handle data in the privacy policy.
